SURCLEAN SC2500 Concentrated Defluxing Chemical

SURCLEAN SC2500 is a high performance aqueous-based cleaner / defluxer designed for fast, thorough removal of post-reflow flux residues.  It can also be used to remove uncured solder paste and SMT adhesives from misprinted PCB’s.  Because it is free from surfactants, it does not degrade in use, providing an exceptionally high loading capacity.

  • SURCLEAN SC2500 contains the cleaning power of a solvent combined with the safety and environmental advantages of aqueous-based materials.
     

  • Wide range of process applications from manual cleaning to automated batch and inline methods.  SC2500 is extremely versatile, operating at temperatures from 104°F - 170°F (40°C - 80°C). 
     

  • Cleans a wide range of residues and will not foam or leave white residue after rinsing. 

SC2500 is environmentally safe.  SC2500 is free from surfactants, inorganic salts, and halogenated compounds.  SC2500 is classified as an ultra-low VOC material and has ODP (ozone depleting potential) of 0 (no ODP).  SC2500 is completely biodegradable.

 

SC2500 is packaged as a concentrate, with one 6.6 gallon container (25 liters) making up to 44 gallons (166 liters) of wash solution. 

 

SC2500 is extremely safe to use, has a very low odor, and is non flammable.

 

General Process Application Data

SURCLEAN SC2500 is designed for use in both batch and inline format aqueous cleaning systems providing both wash and rinse functions.  SC2500 dilution levels vary according to specific requirements but are typically between 15% - 30%.  Chemical concentrations can be verified with a refractometer.  SC2500 is designed to be used in cleaning equipment capable of recycling the wash solution.  SC2500’s high loading capacity can be further increased by recirculating  the wash solution through 10 micron filters. 

 

Wash times (batch format equipment) are determined by the specific cleaning requirement but average between 3 and 10 minutes.  SC2500 is easily rinsed, normally requiring between 4 and 6 rinses (batch-format equipment).
